Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Introduction

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy tells you how we collect, use and look after your personal data when you use our websites: ariellaindigo.com, the Identity Codex and its related pages (currently at identity-codex-live.netlify.app and any address on ariellaindigo.com we move them to), the Practitioner's Seat pages, and any application, platform or service we provide through them (together, "our Sites"). It covers the data you give us when you request a free reading, buy a product or training, apply to work with us, book a session, or write to us.

Our Sites are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18.

This policy sits alongside any other privacy notice we give you at the moment we collect data for a particular purpose. By using our Sites you accept this policy, and you will be asked to confirm that you have read it when you request a Codex or buy from us.

1. Who we are

Our Sites are operated by The Success Encryption Ltd, trading as The Primal Priestess and Ariella Juno Indigo, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 11558908, with its registered office at Centenary House, Peninsula Park, Rydon Lane, Exeter, EX2 7XE, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our").

For the data covered by this policy we are the data controller: we decide why and how your personal data is used. We are a small company and do not have a separate data protection officer; the person responsible for this policy is Ariella Juno Indigo, and the way to reach us is in section 10.

2. What this policy covers

Personal data means any information about a living person from whom that person can be identified, directly or indirectly. It covers obvious things like your name and email address, and less obvious things like your IP address or the content of a reading computed from your birth details. It does not include data from which your identity has been removed.

Our Sites link to other websites and services (for example YouTube videos, Instagram, TikTok, Calendly bookings and Zoom calls). Those services collect data under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Please read them.

If you give us someone else's details (for example a client's birth details, if you are one of our certified practitioners), you confirm that you have their permission to do so and that you have told them how we use the data.

3. What personal data we collect

Depending on what you do on our Sites, we may collect:

  • Identity data: your name, and the birth name you give us for a reading.
  • Birth data: your date, time and place of birth. Our readings (the Identity Codex, the Founder's Codex, practitioner reports and the Oracle tools) are computed from your birth name and birth details. Without them we cannot produce a reading.
  • Contact data: email address, and where you give it, postal address and telephone number.
  • Reading data: the content of any reading or report we generate for you from your data, and the doors, rooms and features you open inside it.
  • Application and enquiry data: what you write when you apply to work with us, apply to train as a practitioner, fill in a form, or write to us (including messages to our support desk).
  • Transaction data: what you bought, when, for how much, and the payment status. We do not store your card number; our payment processors hold that (section 6).
  • Account data: your login details for the practitioners' door, the Codex and our course platform, and your purchases and access.
  • Recording data: if you attend a live call, class, or training that we record, your voice, image and anything you say on it may be in the recording and its replay.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, time zone, the pages you visit and how you reached them.
  • Marketing data: whether you have opted in to or out of our emails.
  • Testimonial data: your words and, with your permission, your name and photograph, where you give us a testimonial.

Sensitive data. We do not ask you for information about your health, sex life, sexual orientation, religion or beliefs, race, political opinions, or trade union membership. Our readings are about identity and life areas, and you may choose to tell us about such matters in a form, a message, a live call or a room on our platform. Where you do, we treat it as shared with your explicit consent, use it only for the purpose you shared it, and delete it if you ask. Please do not share more than you are comfortable with.

We also use aggregated data (for example how many people open a particular door) that does not identify you.

4. How we collect your data

  • Directly from you, when you request a Codex, buy a product or training, apply, book a call, fill in a form, give feedback, or write to us by email, message or social media.
  • Automatically, as you use our Sites, through cookies and similar technology (section 9), and through the ordinary logs our hosting provider keeps.
  • From our service providers, for example a confirmation from a payment processor that a payment has been made, or a booking from Calendly.
  • From the readers and hosts on our platform, if you book a reading or join a room through them and they record your attendance or purchase with us.

5. How we use your data, and on what legal basis

We only use your personal data where the law allows. The bases we rely on are:

  • Contract: to deliver what you asked for. Computing and sending your Codex or reading; giving you access to the tools, trainings and rooms you bought; processing payment; answering your messages about them.
  • Legitimate interests: to run and improve our business in ways that do not override your rights. Keeping our Sites secure; understanding how they are used; writing to existing customers and people who asked for a Codex about related products; improving our readings and tools.
  • Consent: where we ask for it. Marketing emails to people who have not bought from us; the use of your name and picture in a testimonial; the placing of non-essential cookies (section 9); anything sensitive you choose to share.
  • Legal obligation: keeping tax and accounting records; responding to lawful requests.

Specifically, we use your data to:

  • compute and deliver your reading, and keep it available to you at its link;
  • register and manage your account and your purchases;
  • send you your Codex and the emails that follow it, which explain what is in it and what else we offer (every email has an unsubscribe link);
  • deliver the trainings, tools, live calls and replays you have bought;
  • answer your questions and support requests;
  • take and manage payment, and chase money owed to us;
  • let readers and hosts on our platform deliver what you booked with them;
  • run, secure and improve our Sites, and understand which pages and features people use;
  • show you our advertising on other platforms and measure whether it worked;
  • meet our legal and accounting obligations.

Automated readings. Your Codex and the reports produced by our tools are generated automatically from the data you give us, using our own calculation rules together with AI language-model software run by providers on our instructions (section 6). A reading is information for you to weigh; it is not a decision about you with legal or similarly significant effects, and nothing is withheld or granted to you on the strength of it. We do not use your data for profiling that produces legal effects.

Marketing. If you have bought from us or requested a Codex, we may email you about related products and services. You can stop this at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email or by writing to us. Service emails about something you bought or requested (a receipt, a login, your Codex) are not marketing and continue until the service ends. We never sell your data, and we do not pass it to anyone else for their own marketing.

We only use your data for the purposes we collected it for, unless the new purpose is compatible with the original one. If we need to use it for something unrelated, we will tell you and explain the legal basis first.

6. Who we share your data with

We share personal data only with the providers who help us run the business, and only for the purposes above. They act on our instructions, are bound by contract to protect your data, and may not use it for their own purposes.

  • Hosting and website services: Netlify (our Sites and the database behind the Codex), Kajabi (our courses and recordings).
  • Customer records and email: Ontraport (our customer database, checkouts and email), Google Workspace (our email and documents).
  • Payment processing: Stripe. They receive your card details directly; we see only that a payment was made, by whom, and for what.
  • Reading generation: Anthropic and OpenAI, whose AI models process your birth name, birth details and the reading text on our instructions in order to produce your reading. Under our agreement with them, your data is used only to provide the service to us.
  • Bookings and calls: Calendly (bookings), Zoom (live calls and recordings).
  • Video, social and advertising: YouTube (videos embedded on our Sites), Meta (Instagram and Facebook) and TikTok, where you follow us or where we advertise.
  • Readers and hosts on our platform: if you book a reading with a certified reader, or join a room run by a host, we pass them the details they need to deliver it (your name, your email, and the birth details a reading requires). They are independent practitioners and are responsible for how they handle your data once they have it; they are bound by our platform agreement to protect it.
  • Professional advisers: our accountants, lawyers, bank and insurers, where needed.
  • Authorities: HM Revenue & Customs, the courts and regulators, where the law requires.
  • A buyer of the business: if we sell or merge the business, the new owner may use your data as set out in this policy.

7. Where your data goes, and how long we keep it

Several of our providers are in the United States. Where we send data outside the United Kingdom we use safeguards recognised by UK law: the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the International Data Transfer Agreement, or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified under it. You can ask us which safeguard applies to which provider.

We keep your data only as long as we need it:

  • Your Codex and readings: for as long as you keep opening them, and for three years after your last visit, after which they are deleted unless you ask us to keep them.
  • Purchases, trainings and accounts: for as long as you have access to what you bought, and then as transaction records (next line).
  • Transaction and tax records: six years after the end of the financial year they belong to, as HM Revenue & Customs requires.
  • Marketing emails: until you unsubscribe; we then keep your email on a suppression list so that we do not write to you again.
  • Messages and applications: two years after the matter is closed, unless they relate to a purchase.
  • Recordings of live calls: for as long as the replay is offered as part of a product, and then deleted.

We may keep data longer where there is a complaint or a legal claim, or anonymise it for statistics, in which case it no longer identifies you.

We protect your data with appropriate security: encrypted connections, access limited to those who need it, and providers who hold recognised security certifications. We have procedures for a suspected data breach and will tell you and the regulator where the law requires it.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct data that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Erase your data where we no longer have a good reason to keep it. For a reading, this means deleting your Codex and the data it was computed from.
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
  • Restrict processing while a question about it is settled.
  • Port the data you gave us, in a machine-readable form.
  • Withdraw consent where consent is the basis, without affecting what was done before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these, write to us (section 10). We do not charge a fee unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We respond within one month, and tell you if a complex request will take longer.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first and we will try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Cookies

Our Sites set only the cookies needed to make them work (for example to keep you logged in to the practitioners' door, or to remember that you have crossed the entrance to the homepage). With your consent we also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies so we can see how many people visit and which pages they read. Nothing loads until you agree: you choose in the banner when you first visit, and you can change your mind at any time from the Cookies link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of our Sites may then not work.

10. Contacting us

Write to us at support@ariellaindigo.com, or by post to The Success Encryption Ltd, Centenary House, Peninsula Park, Rydon Lane, Exeter, EX2 7XE, United Kingdom. Please say clearly what you are asking for, especially if it is a request to see or delete the data we hold about you.

11. Changes to this policy

We review this policy regularly and will post any new version on our Sites with a new "last updated" date. Where a change matters to how we use your data, we will tell you by email if we have your address. Please keep your details up to date with us.
